YES! We work all year long.
We use warming blankets to soften the ground. Please make a quote request to schedule an appointment to review your needs.

Yes. There are double hung egress windows available. Let me help select a proper size.

Yes. Historically, this was not a good choice as the gliding hardware did not work well. I have recently found a brand that I approve of and glides nicely. An added benefit of this style is that you can remove both panes and have a wide opening to move
couches and other large objects in and out of your basement.

Yes. Casement/Crank-Out are the most common style installed in an egress as it minimizes the hole size and maximizes the window opening. Remember, it is not the size of the glass that is important. It is the size of the OPENING that makes code.

Egress windows have double locking systems, so you are as secure as any other well constructed window in your home. Usually most intruders try the doors, before trying the windows.

Yes you can. Don't limit you design possibilites with only modifying a existing window space.

We obtain the building permit. The city building inspector will be checking for the proper high of the window and well. It must be low enough for children to climb out and it must be big enough for emergency crews to enter, along with checking that all the proper building codes have been met.

Some snow will accumulate, however ambient ground and house heat
will help keep the well clear in most cases. As to the water, the well is tied into the drainage system of your home.

Special ordered windows can take up to 2 weeks for delivery. If you are using an egress window we have in stock, then we can get started right away. Most installations take 1 day to complete.

We prefer to do the entire job for several reasons:
1. The warranty on workmanship remains in full effect if we do it.
2. The buck stops here so to speak if there is a problem.
However, we do provide consulting for a fee, if you are absolutely determined to do it yourself.
